Weather woes... Big club I know

Into the month of September now with fall, thank the good Lord, just around the corner. August was not the best of months weather wise... continuing on from July it was still stormy and soggy to record level. Had an earthquake and hurricane ( with tornadoes and major flooding) the last week of August. Joe n I went away to Indiana and Wisconsin for 6 days the week after it all and wouldn't you know there wasn't a drop of rain here while we were gone and half my plants are dead. Also warm and muggy as opposed to Wisconsin's 46 degree the day we left to come home... But in contrary nature of my life we ran into the latest tropical storm in PA on our 15 hr trip home which made the last few hours of that trip tortuous. And it hasn't stopped raining for long since we came back 3 days ago. Half of my plants are still piled up on the ground where they were put in prep for the hurricane since we left 3 days after it passed. If it ever starts to dry out maybe I can salvage whats left of them. Just can't believe that Texas has had NO rain and we just keep getting slammed... Old Mother Nature has turned very bitchy in her old age.  Here's hoping that fall will make up for this crappy summer and not have some dramatic weather too... not too much to ask that one freaking season not be psychotic is it?
